Se incorpor\u00f3 al Ej\u00e9rcito Argentino como aspirante en la Escuela de Infanter\u00eda Sargento Cabral en 1977 y egres\u00f3 como cabo de infanter\u00eda. Combati\u00f3 en la guerra de Malvinas desde el 28 de abril de 1982 con el Regimiento de Infanter\u00eda 4 Monte Caseros, Corrientes, desempe\u00f1\u00e1ndose como jefe de grupo Mortero 81, en Moody Brook y Monte LOW.
