El argentino comenz\u00f3 agresivo con su saque, su derecha y su rev\u00e9s, y se llev\u00f3 el primer parcial por 6-4. Sin embargo, el mallorqu\u00edn levant\u00f3 considerablemente su nivel y se llev\u00f3 el segundo, tercer y cuarto set, gan\u00e1ndolos por 6-0, 6-3 y 6-2.<\/p>\n<p>Del Potro pareci\u00f3 quedarse sin \u201ccombustible\u201d a lo largo del partido y su rendimiento fue de mayor a menor. Nadal aguant\u00f3 todos los embates del argentino y termin\u00f3 imponi\u00e9ndose de forma clara y, por momentos, apabullante. Y agreg\u00f3 que \u201csin dudas, fue mi mejor partido en el torneo\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la derrota, el argentino se queda con un balance ampliamente positivo en este US Open. De andar irregular en gran parte de la temporada, Del Potro se reencontr\u00f3 con sus golpes a lo largo su torneo favorito, sobre todo con su rev\u00e9s a dos manos, golpe que le cost\u00f3 much\u00edsimo tiempo que \u201cvolviera a lastimar a los rivales\u201d. Y fue justamente esa confianza la que le permiti\u00f3 vencer \u2013enfermo con un virus\u2013\u00a0 a dos top ten: a Dominic Thiem en octavos de final y a Roger Federer en cuartos de final.<\/p>\n<p>El domingo ser\u00e1 la gran final entre Nadal, m\u00e1ximo favorito, contra una de las sorpresas del torneo, el sudafricano Kevin Anderson, quien accedi\u00f3 por primera vez a una final de un Grand Slam. El historial entre ellos favorece ampliamente al mallorqu\u00edn.
